Collecting Coordinated Data From The Field With The Coordinator App

Default settings are made from the settings menu in the upper right corner of the main screen. Coordinator Pro subscribers can choose Cloud option as "Default Workspace". If the Default Workspace is selected as Cloud, you work with layers in the cloud database. If the Default Workspace is selected as Device, you can collect only coordinate data and save it to the device.

Google Maps or Here Maps can be selected as default basemap. The basemap on the Collect tool is determined by this selection. In other tools, the basemap is the Google Map. The country and the coordinate system are selected in the Default Coordinate System option. The coordinate system in the respective tools works according to this setting.

On "COLLECT" tool screen, there is a map on the top and the current point of you is located on the map. There are four different view options for Google Maps and three options for Here Maps. The desired one can be selected. Using "Add" button, the coordinate data of your current point is added to the temporary list. If you want to add a coordinate of a point on the map, you should long press on that point and then add the coordinate to the list with the Add button. The points which are desired to delete can be deleted by clicking the "Delete" button after checking the box near the coordinate data.

By pressing the "Save" button, you can save the temporary list to your mobile device. At first save, a folder named "My Coordinates" is created. All files are saved as txt format in that folder. The coordinate data in the temporary list can be send as an email by clicking the "Share" button. These descriptions are valid if the Default Workspace is Device.
